Design Manufacture & Fit Out of Mobile Catering Trailers & Vehicles

This Code of practice is intended as a voluntary guideline for the design and manufacture of mobile catering vehicles, and the installation of equipment and services.
The purpose of the guide is to set down a minimum standard of design & manufacture in order to protect the purchasers of such units and to help eliminate poor quality design and build from the industry.

The code of practice for the Design Manufacture & Fit Out of Mobile Catering Trailers & Van conversions was  developed in consultation with the industry over a period of 3 years begining in 2005.
It was deemed neccesary to develop the code as up to that point there were no agreed written standards across the industry.

The COP covers a wide range of topics and is in harmony with statutory regulations that are already in place.

Manufacturers that comply to the code of practice and remain members of the Association are entitled to use the Approved Trailer Manufacturer logo
