Food Manufacturers Miss Sugar Reduction Targets

The Government’s plan was to reduce 20% of sugar from a range of food and drink products by 2020 and to achieve a 5% reduction in the first year.
Public Health England have released the first measure of progress on the Government’s sugar reduction target and have announced that a 2% reduction has been made in both average sugar content and calories in products likely to be consumed in one go.
