Plan B Restrictions to be lifted on 26th January

The Government has announced that the measures introduced at the end of last year in a bid to reduce cases of the Omicron variant, will be lifted on 26^th January, with Covid cases having fallen in all regions and all age groups in England. The news means that compulsory mask-wearing on public transport and in shops, guidance to work from home and vaccine certificates – from next week.

The changes apply only to England, as Covid restrictions, as part of health policy, are a devolved matter.
