The Sustainability in Catering training course is for caterers who want to increase their profits at the same time as protecting the environment.
This course will take approximately 2-4 hours to complete.

Sustainability Training for Caterers

Developed in partnership with the Sustainable Restaurant Association and The Nationwide Caterers Association.

Along with with the Sustainable Restaurant Association, we’ve created this course to help you make your business green. More and more event organisers expect to see caterers using sustainable practices so make sure you’re one of them.

This sustainability training course is available for both mobile catering and fixed site catering businesses.

Course details

Aim of the course

To develop an understanding of how to make a catering business more sustainable.

Assessment criteria

20 multiple choice questions on a 20 minute timer. The pass mark is 15/20 (75%). Remember, there’s no limit on re-takes.

Course delivery method

The course is delivered online via our custom built training system. An internet connection is required for all NCASS Training courses.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of sustainability and sustainable practices.

Topics covered

What sustainability is, responsible sourcing, seasonal produce, menu planning, Fairtrade, social responsibility and more.

Certificate

Upon completion of Sustainability training you’ll receive a personalised A4 certificate. It’s laminated to withstand catering environments and will be dispatched on the next working day. Certificates contain a security hologram and your unique certificate number.

It’s valid for three years and shows enforcement officers and members of the public that you’ve gone the extra mile to get a certification that really means something.
