However, food safety must never be compromised. Food poisoning and incidents of food allergy must be prevented by planning ahead and having good systems and checks in place.
As an event organiser it will be your responsibility to ensure that any food supplied at your event, by food traders and caterers that attend, complies with all current food hygiene regulations.
NCASS has experts available who can support you meet the food safety legal requirements for your events. We can help you to deliver safe and successful events.
What services can we provide?
NCASS can arrange for an Environmental Health professional to review the food trader set-ups, practices, and procedures in line with relevant regulations and best practice.
Our experts will provide relevant feedback on the standards of compliance, as well as advice and guidance to traders and event organisers on the correct hygiene and safety standards.
They will support event staff to understand and recognise the relevant standards that should be maintained by food traders in order to maintain safety and legal compliance, so that they are more confident to carry out ongoing checks throughout future events.

Testimonial for Fiona West
To support our key events at Weston Park in Staffordshire and Ragley Hall in Warwickshire, we put in place an Environmental Health Consultancy Agreement with Fiona West NCASS Environmental Health Specialist, to review the trader food safety arrangements in place.
Fiona spent time at each of our events, checking on the trader set-ups, practices and procedures. She provided advice and guidance to the traders, summarizing actions for them to remedy where applicable. She provided us with relevant feedback on their standards of compliance.
Having this additional compliance support in place reassured the local authorities and helped to demonstrate our willingness to strive for continuous improvement and the safest standards at our events. The traders benefited from the advice and were readied for further visits by the local authority.
Fiona provided us with a service which went above and beyond our expectations. It was really appreciated!
We will be looking to use NCASS to support our events going forward.
