Street Trading During Covid 19 Licensing

We have been asked to provide evidence that mobile businesses are not able to continue trading as takeaways – as restaurants are, because of street trading regulations. Or that the regulations are not currently suitable for those with licences or without.

We are also asking for licensing restrictions to be relaxed in order to give our sector as much chance as possible to keep going, and for opportunities to open-up during the summer, when most of you would be trading at festivals and events.

We are also concerned that members on pitches are potentially being charged for a site with no business, may risk losing their pitch if they don’t trade or may find others occupying their pitch unlicensed.

In order to do this, we need to present a detailed picture of the additional challenges our sector is facing and so are asking you to spend a few minutes to fill in this survey.
