The final of the European Street Food Awards is tough – in more ways than one. The Swedes managed to get on the wrong ferry. The Poles arrived (a day late) after exhausting two different truck mechanics. And the Brits had to invent a totally new waffle menu because of a chocolate “situation” with UK border control. But they made it to Munich. Eventually.
These were the final 27 traders – the best of the best. Chosen from the thousands who had cooked their signature dishes at national street food events all across Europe AND winners from previous Awards. Including two former European Champions. At Pineapple Park on October 10-12 they went head to head.
The winners and 2025 Champions at the European Street Food Awards? Jaybees from Switzerland, with their exquisite, clever, plant-based menu. In second place was Toni’s Eatery from Germany, combining regional classics with international twists. And third were last year’s European Champions – Miki from Slovakia – rooting Mexican classics with Slavic tradition.

The People’s Choice – chosen by everyone who attended the finals at Pineapple Park in Munich on October 10-12 – was Toni’s Eatery from Germany. Followed by Miki from Slovakia in second. And 11er Genussbus from Switzerland in third. Amazing. The lot of them. Democracy is a fragile being, and the people chose well.
