This free-to-enter Award is designed to celebrate street food traders who go the extra mile to operate sustainably. Simply let the BSFA team know what you’ve done, and it could change your business forever.

They have had some great winners over the years. There was @lokipokeuk and their healthy bowl food with integrity, @gamekeeperuk with their sustainable British game burgers, @groundedmcr with a specialty coffee trike staffed by anxiety sufferers, @artisambespoke with a free range menu that promised NO single use plastics, @needstreetfood with a menu that gave a percentage of every sale to a programme treating malnutrition, and @honestedibles who grew veg from composted food waste using permaculture principles and offered a plant-based menu that changes seasonally. Nice. But whose name will be on the trophy this year?

Judging the Award this year will be @helenganya, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator at @julies_bicycle, a non-profit which mobilises culture and the creative community, and Joseph McDonnell, a sustainability manager at the Institute of Grocery Distribution, a charity that drives transformative initiatives in the food industry. They will be joined by Rukhsana Bentley, the Head of Marketing and Communications for @ncass_uk the go-to organisation for independent food and drink businesses striving to operate safely, legally and profitably.
