Calor Cashback FAQs

What do I earn cashback on?

You earn cashback on any 13kg (excludes 13kg Patio gas), 19kg or 47kg Calor Propane gas bottles that you purchase once you’ve hit the spend criteria within a qualifying period – whether you buy them directly from Calor (receiving a Calor invoice or statement) or from a Calor authorised independent retailer (with a valid VAT receipt).

What is the spend criteria?

You will earn the following cashback amounts depending on your level of spend in a qualifying period:

£0 – £299.99 = no cashback earned
£300 to £499.99 = 3%
£500 to £799.99 = 5%
£800 + = 6%

Cashback will be earnt on the refill cost (cost of the gas) only and not cylinder refill agreements, VAT or delivery.

When do I start earning cashback?

There are two opportunities to earn cashback in 2022. The first period runs from 1st January – 30th June and the second period runs from 1st July – 31st December. You will start earning cashback once you have spent £300 or more in each period.

How much cashback will I earn?

How much cashback you earn will depend on how much you spend in a qualifying period. Please see the table below which shows some examples:

How do I become eligible and earn cashback?

1. First of all you will need to register onto the cashback scheme on the NCASS website and confirm acceptance of the schemes terms and conditions. You can register via the link here

2. Once your registration has been approved by Calor, you will be eligible to start earning cashback. Cashback is subject to satisfactory proof of purchase, depending on where you purchased your Calor gas bottles from:

A) If you are a current Calor customer and have a Calor account number and receive a Calor invoice or statement when you purchase your gas, you will not be required to do anything. Your Calor gas purchases will be automatically recorded and if you have spent at least £300 within the first or second period in 2022 you will earn cashback.

B) If you purchase Calor gas via a Calor authorised independent retailer/dealer, then your purchases will not be automatically recorded. Instead, you must keep hold of your VAT receipt and upload proof of purchase via the NCASS Rewards Portal.

If you do not keep hold of your VAT receipt, you will not be able to provide proof of purchase and will therefore not be able to earn cashback.

Please keep a record of all your Calor gas purchases as this will allow your cashback to be paid in a timely manner.

What is the period that I will be earning cashback?

There are two opportunities to earn cashback in 2022. The first period runs from 1st January – 30th June and the second period runs from 1st July – 31st December.

I purchase my refills from a Calor authorised independent retailer/dealer– what are the timeframes to provide my proof of purchase?

Receipts for 1st January – 30th June must be submitted by 30th June 2022. Receipts for 1st July – 31st December must be submitted by 31st December 2022.

I buy my Calor gas via a Calor authorised independent retailer/dealer– am I eligible for cashback?

Yes, you are. If you buy ‘indirectly’ i.e.: not straight from Calor themselves, you must make sure that you keep your VAT receipts and upload your proof of purchase.

I buy Calor via Festival Gas – am I eligible for cashback?

Yes, you are. You must make sure that you keep your VAT receipts and upload your proof of purchase via the NCASS Rewards Portal.

Do I earn cashback on the cylinder refill agreement or delivery charges?

No, cylinder refill agreements and delivery charges are not included.

I already have an account with Calor – can I still earn cashback?

Yes – just make sure that you register for the scheme by completing the form here. Then carry on purchasing Calor gas and once you hit the minimum spend criteria (£300) within a qualifying period, you will earn cashback thereafter.

What happens if my membership of NCASS lapses during the cashback period?

If your NCASS membership expires during a qualifying period and is not renewed, you will not be eligible to earn any cashback during that period. You can view the full T&C’s of the scheme here

Can anyone sign up to the scheme?

How will I get paid the cashback?

If you have earnt cashback between 1st Jan- 30th June, this will be paid via NCASS in August 2022.

If you have earnt cashback between 1st July – 31st December, this will be paid via NCASS in February 2023.

Where do I find a Calor retailer?

There are over 6,000 outlets that you can purchase your Calor gas from. You can find your nearest outlet using Calor’s helpful interactive tool here or call Calor Gas direct on 0800 662 663 to be connected to your local Calor gas retailer or dealer.

I am not a current Calor customer – how do I become one?

You can use Calor’s helpful interactive tool here to find your nearest Calor retailer or dealer. Alternatively, please call 0800 662 663 where you will be connected with a local Calor gas retailer or dealer who will be able to help. Remember, to be eligible for cashback on your Calor purchases, you must be an NCASS member and sign up to the Calor cashback scheme here and meet the minimum spend criteria of £300 within a qualifying period.

Are new and existing Calor customers eligible?

Yes – both new & existing Calor customers can be part of the scheme, but you must sign up for it. The sign-up form can be found here. You will be eligible to join the scheme as long as you’re an NCASS member.

I’ve just bought some Calor refills – can I get this spend added onto the scheme?

Yes you can so long as you have joined the cashback scheme prior to the purchase date. If you are not yet signed up to the cashback scheme, you would not be eligible to claim on this occasion. However, join up here and start earning cashback on future purchases.

Why was I rejected from the scheme and/or earning cashback?

Calor reserves the right at any time to reject any claims or to remove any NCASS member from the scheme. Examples of where a member may be rejected by Calor include but are not limited to; where the NCASS member has outstanding and ongoing debts to Calor, or if the NCASS member is not subject to usual end user trading terms, because for instance they may be a wholesaler of Calor’s product or part of a buying group.

I can't see any data on my dashboard. Am I due any cashback?

If you buy direct from Calor and can’t see any data on your dashboard yet this doesn’t necessarily mean you aren’t due any cashback. There may just be a delay in uploading your direct purchase data.

If you buy indirect from a Calor authorised independent retailer/dealer and your claims are accepted, you should see this reflected on your dashboard immediately. In this case, please raise the matter with NCASS if you believe the data is not showing correctly.
