Ceres has launched a new batter mix developed specifically for foodservice operators who want to elevate their fried food.

Traditional Batter Mix brings together Ceres’ 15 years of experience crafting batters for fish and chip shops to produce an easy-to-use mix that gives consistent results every time.

Manufactured in the UK from two high quality British flours, Ceres Traditional Batter Mix features a blend of three carefully chosen raising agents, which combine to give a crispy, light finish with plenty of bite and texture. With no artificial colours, flavouring or preservatives, battered food fries to a nice, natural colour that tastes as good as it looks.

An all-purpose batter, Ceres Traditional Batter Mix is hugely versatile, working across the entire menu from fish, chicken and halloumi to calamari, onion rings and mushrooms.

It is available in 6 x 1.25kg individually sealed bags for freshness and ease of storage. For optimum results, Ceres recommends operators use Traditional Batter Mix alongside its Batter Bottles. These hold the exact amount of water for each bag of batter and are designed to fit in the fridge so that chilled water is always on hand for mixing.
