Support a VAT Cut inline with Europe for Hospitality & Night Time Economy

Our pubs, bars, clubs and venues are more than places of entertainment – they are major employers, training grounds for young people, and the social heartbeat of our towns and cities. The night time economy supports over 2 million jobs nationally and contributes billions in economic output, yet independent research shows the sector remains in structural decline. Economic modelling demonstrates that a targeted, temporary VAT reduction for hospitality would stimulate demand, protect employment, and generate longer-term tax returns. We are calling for practical, evidence-based action to safeguard jobs, stabilise our high streets, and prevent further irreversible damage to our local communities.
