UK Summer Festivals & Events: Your Guide to the Next Two Weeks

Summer is in full swing across the UK, and the next two weeks promise an incredible array of festivals and events to keep NCASS members busy. For mobile caterers especially, this period represents THE busiest time of the year, with events actively seeking diverse culinary offerings to enhance the festival experience.

Several major events are taking place in the coming fortnight, most notably, Glastonbury. Let’s take a quick look at what’s coming up in the next fortnight and as always, we’d love to see your summer snaps from trading. Glastonbury Festival is the largest greenfield festival in the world, taking place on 1500 acres of farmland attended by around 200,000 people. Traders at this year’s event include Deadgood Burrito, The Duck Truck, Hanoi Kitchen, Happy Maki, Only Jerkin’, Poke Nom, Wholesome Junkies and many, many more.

Love Supreme stands out as one of Europe’s biggest jazz festivals. This celebration of jazz, soul, and funk continues to attract world-class performers and discerning music lovers. The festival actively recruits premium food vendors and mobile caterers to match its sophisticated audience, with applications typically opening months in advance for coveted trading spots.

Priory Live in Orpington offers an intimate setting featuring both established headline acts and emerging artists, complete with a dedicated DJ dance tent for electronic music enthusiasts. The event welcomes local mobile caterers and provides an excellent opportunity for smaller food businesses to connect with community audiences.

The RnB Nation Outdoor Festival returns on Friday, August 8th, promising an unmissable day dedicated to rhythm and blues, soul, and contemporary R&B acts. Urban festivals like this typically feature extensive food courts with mobile vendors specializing in Caribbean, soul food, and international cuisine.

KERB Food has become an essential part of London’s festival and food scene, bringing together the capital’s best street food vendors in various locations across the city. These regular food festivals showcase everything from innovative fusion cuisine to traditional British fare, creating popup food communities that celebrate London’s diverse culinary landscape. KERB events often feature live music, making them perfect hybrids of food and entertainment festivals. For mobile caterers, KERB represents both a trading opportunity and a valuable platform for gaining exposure to festival organisers who scout for vendors at these events. KERB is has recently launched a weekly food market on Francis Road, Leyton.

Edinburgh Castle Concerts are returning for July 2025, with confirmed performances from Marti Pellow and Kaiser Chiefs, offering the unique experience of live music against the backdrop of Scotland’s most iconic castle. The prestigious venue attracts premium catering requirements, making it an ideal opportunity for high-end mobile caterers and specialty food providers.

The Godney Gathering, a two-day music festival in Somerset, has become a vibrant fixture in the region’s summer festival calendar, offering diverse live performances, local talent, and family-friendly activities. Rural festivals like this often provide excellent opportunities for mobile caterers to serve audiences who appreciate locally-sourced, authentic food experiences away from urban competition.
