Mobile caterers looking to pivot their business to a delivery model could now receive further insurance protection if using their own car or van to drop off food or goods to customers.

Currently, vehicle insurance with the correct use is needed if the owner of a food business wishes to use their own car to make delivery drop-offs. However, our insurance partner, Giles Insurance, has found a possible solution that will give NCASS members the protection they need to operate their own delivery service during Covid-19.

The pilot scheme is valid from 17th April through to 30th June 2020. For further information on this, call the team at Giles Insurance Consultants on 01628 667707.
