The British Street Food Awards team will be running a summer of food festivals with Land Securities – in three different retail park locations in Hampshire, Somerset and Essex – plus a big Christmas market with the National Trust in Shropshire from November 29-January 4.
Please let BSFA know on [email protected] which ones you’re interested in ASAP as they’re booking traders in now.
Food Festivals
BFSA have been asked by Land Securities, the largest commercial property development and investment company in the United Kingdom, to bring food festivals, with music and family entertainment, to three of their busy retail outlets – with a view to really expanding the offer in 2026. That’s Gunwharf Quays in Hampshire, Clarks Village in Somerset and Braintree Village in Essex. As anyone who has traded at the Southern heats of the BSFA at Gunwharf will know, LandSec really get events. That’s why BSFA have gone back for the last six years. They launched Trinity Kitchen in Leeds for them. They were the first ever sponsors of the British Street Food Awards – back in 2011 and will make this a success with lots of local PR. Please let the BFSA team know asap if you want to be considered for any of the dates and locations below:
Gunwharf Quays Seafood and Street Food Festival: 1-3 August
Clarks Village Food Festival: 21-22 September
Braintree Village Food Festival: 6-7 September
Christmas Market
National Trust Christmas Market at Attingham in Shropshire: November 29-January 4
Attingham is consistently one of the UK’s most visited National Trust sites, with over 589,000 visitors in 2023/24. They have asked the British Street Food Awards to do a food market (based on our www.foodst.co.uk market in London) plus gifting and Christmas present ideas – all dressed to the high National Trust standards – in the courtyard behind the main house.
Visitor numbers for Attingham in December 2024 were 70,000 – this was included one fully closed day to the public and several partial closures. The busiest day peaked at 4075 visitors. So we will do approx 10 traders (high-traffic /weekend) flexed down to half that in the early week.
