Nicola Sturgeon lifts Omicron restrictions in Scotland

Scotland’s First Minister announced this week that as of next Monday, measures brought in to half the spread of Omicron, will come to an end.

As a result, nightclubs will reopen, there will be no requirement for social distancing and the three-household limit will be scrapped. Sturgeon added that while the country had “turned the corner on the Omicron wave”, the public should remain “cautious” about socialising in larger groups. Work from home guidelines in Scotland remain unchanged as does advice on face coverings. Vaccine passports will still be required for large-scale events.
