Plan B Restrictions to be lifted on 26th January

The Government has announced that the measures introduced at the end of last year in a bid to reduce cases of the Omicron variant, will be lifted on 26th January, with Covid cases having fallen in all regions and all age groups in England. The news means that compulsory mask-wearing on public transport and in shops, guidance to work from home and vaccine certificates – from next week.

The changes apply only to England, as Covid restrictions, as part of health policy, are a devolved matter.
