British Street Food Awards – Southern Heats

Over the Platinum Jubilee Weekend, some of Britain’s best street food traders assembled in Portsmouth, for the Southern Heats of the British Street Food Awards.

Finalists were tasked with creating a Jubilee-inspired dish for their menu, with the Judge’s Winner and the People’s Choice Winner, both heading for the British finals in September. It was the always amazing Humble Kusina who walked away with the Judge’s Choice trophy; with the brilliant LJ Huges being crowned People’s Choice Winner.

Congratulations to the winners and to all involved – special shoutout to NCASS members La Pepia whose rainbow arepas (deservedly) made their way into the finals for the first time this weekend.
