Night Time Economy Summit 2025

NCASS joined hospitality and night-time economy leaders this week as stakeholders met at Hockley Social Club in Birmingham for the Night Time Industries Association Night Time Economy Summit 2025.

Mark Laurie, NCASS Director said:

“At a time when many hospitality and catering businesses feel that they are not being listened to by Government, it was heartening to see so many energised businesses and industry leaders committed to discussing the future of our sector.

Whilst the Government seems intent on looking elsewhere for growth, we know that independent hospitality is the key driver of regeneration and a fundamental part of the UK’s social, economic, and cultural fabric.

We need a better local approach to supporting our hospitality sector that allows innovative and entrepreneurial independents to build communities that allow culture to happen. Government must get out the way, reduce the cost of business and empower small independents to thrive and deliver for their communities.

Without this local collaboration, our neighbourhoods will be reduced to homogenous identikit streets where only large chains survive.

It is vital that we continue to work together to raise the profile of the independent hospitality sector and everything it brings with it.

We will be releasing a member survey soon to gain collective insight the state of the industry right now. Please take part in the survey – the information you share is key to our campaigns at local and national government level.”

Keep an eye out for the survey we will be sharing with members soon.
